A friend is celebrating a milestone this week and has invited us over for a get together. She is celebrating a well-deserved promotion as well as the one year anniversary of her single-hood, after a nasty divorce last year. I know it’s ironic to be celebrating divorces but it truly was the best thing that happened to her.

After her bad luck in her relationship, she lucked out on her career and has been named partner at her firm. She’s also going back at the dating scene and is currently dating a man we think is her perfect match. All is well and good, thus the need for the celebration.

We have always talked about second chances and how she is enjoying hers a whole lot. All of these didn’t happen though without her perseverance and dedication, as well as her prayers and fervent hope to turn her life around.
